Dave Gibble
David Gibble is a trumpeter, educator, and composer who freelances throughout South Florida in classical, contemporary, and jazz styles, having performed with the Woody Herman Orchestra and Duffy Jackson’s Swingin’ New Band to the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra, Florida Wind Symphony, Palm Beach State College Faculty Jazztet and a variety of other ensembles. Mr. Gibble was the former Director of Bands and Music Department Chair at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, where he taught for 29 years. He also was a co-founder of the Orchid City Brass Band and served as its conductor from 2012-2018. Currently, he plays Principal Solo Cornet with OCBB. Gibble holds a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University (Pa.) and an M.M. in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas.
